The negative for the number devised for Judy Garland and Gene Kelly, “Voodoo” was ordered to be destroyed by studio head Louis B. Mayer after he saw the song and dance scene, and was ultimately angered by the way Judy writhed around Gene in such a sexual manner that he demanded the film be burned.
